Program Details

Does your child love the outdoors? Forest Preschool offers a half day program experience of exploring the outdoors and everything it includes! Designed for ages 3-4 children will build connections with the land, each other, and grow to learn more about themselves. Learning is child-centered with a rich sensory experience from the outdoors. Our small ratios of 1:5 allow for our practitioners to build meaningful connections with each child and to better meet each of their needs. All of our forest school programs are taught by qualified childcare and/or education professionals. Our staff consist of Ontario Certified Teachers, Early Childhood Educators, or have other relevant childcare experience. It is recommended that children who attend forest preschool are potty trained and no longer require naps. Activities include loose parts play, music, storytime, creative play, team-building games, fire, mud kitchens, shelter building, plant and tree identification, nature crafts and more! Each morning starts with circle time to connect and gather the interests of each individual. It is important for your child to dress for the weather to ensure they have the best experience! Please bring extra clothing, and a nut-free snack each day. Note: We have a 4 season yurt and a completely indoor location in the event of severe weather that we will either walk or bus to. If it is calling for severe weather we will stay close to this vicinity and explore the trails of Colonal Danforth Park (connected to Morningside Park). Refund Policy

Refunds can be given if they are requested 30 days or more before the session start date by emailing us at nurturethenature.forestschool@gmail.com. If you withdraw before 30 days a refund will be given less a $100 admin fee. We reserve the right to withhold all funds 30 days or less before the program start date as well as during the program. Because space in our programs is limited, you will not be refunded during the session for days your child does not attend. Refunds are not issued for weather-related closures, but we will do our best to accommodate a make-up session. Full refunds will be given if we need to cancel a program due to insufficient registration. Terms & Conditions: Registration is on a first come first served basis and space in our programs is limited so you are encouraged to register early! Nurture the Nature Forest School reserves the right to terminate the contract (with refund for theunused days) if it is deemed not a good fit for the child.
